If you love a classic paloma but want something a little less sweet, this triple citrus paloma cocktail is going to be your new favorite drink. It’s bright, citrusy, and refreshing, made with three types of citrus: grapefruit, lime, and orange. I love making this drink around this time of year for a few reasons. First of all, dry January is over (cheers to that)! Second, citrus is at its peak ripeness right now so the juices taste incredibly fresh. And finally, this beautiful light pink color is perfect for Valentine’s day! If you’re making this for date night, simply double the recipe. Two drinks will still fit in a standard size cocktail shaker.

As always, while alcohol isn’t healthy, enjoying a cocktail like this in moderation can absolutely fit into a balanced lifestyle. This one keeps things light and refreshing, without too many added sugars or mixers. Using fresh citrus juice instead of sugary mixers keeps the added sugar lower while still adding lots of flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • salt, for rim (optional)
  • 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 2 oz tequila blanco
  • 1/2 oz orange liqueur
  • 3 oz club soda or sparkling water
  • grapefruit wedge, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Rim your glass with salt if desired. I like to use a little honey to help it stick better.
  • To a cocktail shaker, add grapefruit juice, lime juice, tequila, orange liqueur, and ice and shake until very cold.
  • Pour into a glass over ice and top with club soda or sparkling water.
  • Garnish with a grapefruit wedge and enjoy!
