Orange Creamsicle Protein Smoothie
If you grew up loving those classic orange creamsicle ice cream bars, you’re going to love this orange creamsicle protein smoothie. It has that perfect combo of zesty orange and creamy vanilla, but in a form that actually keeps you full and energized. It’s one of my favorite quick snacks when I want something refreshing but still balanced.

This smoothie comes together in just 5 minutes, which makes it perfect for busy mornings or an easy afternoon pick-me-up. It’s made with real orange, a little orange zest for extra flavor, and frozen banana to give it that naturally sweet, thick texture. The vanilla protein powder and splash of vanilla extract bring out the creamy, vanilla flavor.
In addition to protein powder, I used cottage cheese, which might sound a little unexpected, but it makes the smoothie incredibly creamy without overpowering the flavor. It also blends super smoothly. If cottage cheese isn’t your thing (super common!), you can easily swap in Greek yogurt and still get a similar texture and protein boost. The reason I like adding in a food source of protein versus just protein powder is to prevent the smoothie from getting too sweet.

This smoothie has about 27 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber, so it’s not just a sweet treat, it’s actually going to keep you satisfied. The combination of protein, fiber, and natural carbs from the fruit makes it a great option to fuel your morning or hold you over between meals. If you’re looking for a quick, high protein smoothie, this one is definitely worth trying. I hope you enjoy this orange creamsicle protein smoothie!
